Voice Picking using telnet emulation

VoiXtreme allows emulation based applications to be used as Voice Picking.
This way, traditional applications used with scanner, keyboard and screen can be converted to be operable with voice.

VoiXtreme detects the application’s screens according to the configuration set, and gives instructions to the user.

Applications based on web technology

Different uses

Total Voice Picking: Voice Picking application that is only operated by voice, without using the handheld’s scanner or keyboard. The terminal can be used attached to the waist, so the user is completely free to use its arms and hands.

Vocal guidance: The application tells the user the tasks that need to be done through the audio, and the user inputs data on the application through the scanner.
This way, the user speeds up its work according to the instructions he/she hears, and at the moment of capturing the bar codes he/she uses the scanner to input the product code, location, lot, pallet, or whatever data the application requires.

Voice & bar codes: With this alternative, the application works as a multimode. This means that the user can listen to instructions through the audio, and then he/she can input some data through the scanner and some through his voice.
For example, the application indicates through the audio the product that the user must take, and he/she confirms it capturing the bar code. Then, when the application tells the quantity, the user confirms this last data by voice saying “four”.

Host connection

Telnet: VoiXtreme can be integrated with the WireLess TelNet client for handhelds, both products working on the handheld, which allows the use of Voice Picking with applications based on VT, 5250, SSH, etc.
The telnet emulator is configured so the existing application may be used as Voice Picking, without the need to modify the host application.

Database: It’s possible to make specific Voice Picking applications to connect directly into the database of the WMS system, through the ODBC. The integration between the Voice Picking application and the host increases the flexibility to design the functions of each task.

Web: It can be integrated with the handheld web browser WireLess FlexBrowser, to allow the use of Voice Picking applications based on web technology.

VoiXtreme works as a complement for the WMS or ERP system, providing these systems the ability to operate Voice Picking applications.
